First Trip to the ER

Here is a picture from the kids' first trip to the ER and their Dad got to join them. I can only give my version of what happened keeping in mind my version happened from a distance...Denver to be exact.

Getting ready to board my plane to come home, I got a call from a hysterical Robbye yelling, "I've been hit by a car, I've been hit by a car." I can hear Drew screaming in the background, so I ask questions like, "Who's hurt? Where are you? Have you called someone? Should I call someone?" I hear him say that he called his sister and then the call is cut off. I try to call back only to hear Drew screaming and no one talking. I proceed to get hysterical and call his sister and then brother-in-law, both of whom did not answer. My poor mom had to take the brunt of it when she was the one who answered only to hear, "Robbye's been hit by a car. I don't know what's going on, but they are making me get on the plane."

I eventually learned that while crossing the street near our local pharmacy, a car, going in reverse down the middle of the road, struck Robbye. The hit bumped Drew several feet to the road and Mary-Rian was being held and fell with her Daddy. Upon freaking out, Robbye just took them home and waited for help to arrive. His sister noticed the bump on Drew's head and everyone went to the ER. Mom and Dad also made their way to Richmond. After 2 CT scans, several xrays and some pain meds, we found everyone to be okay despite lots of scrapes and bruises. I haven't stopped praying since.

Thanks to the family for their quick response and calming effect. Thanks to my travel partner for keeping me calm in the air until we arrived home. Thanks to the outpouring of prayers and well wishes from our friends.

Everyone is doing really well and we can put check marks by several "firsts" in the baby books: First trip to the ER. First X-rays. First time struck by a #%&$(# car!!!!!
